Introduction

The Medan Area University Library (UMA) is a vital resource and information center for the academic community. As technology continues to develop, the library is increasingly transforming, presenting digital services to improve accessibility and efficiency. One example is the Sinditaka service at the UMA Library. This study aims to uncover the perception of librarians on Sinditaka services, especially in terms of system quality, information quality, and service quality.

Background

The Sinditaka service is a digital platform that provides various features to support the academic community, such as searching for online catalogs, digital borrowing and returning books, and access to various sources of digital information. The success of Sinditaka depends on the quality of its system, information, and services. Therefore, it is essential to analyze the perception of librarians on Sinditaka services to identify areas for improvement.

Methodology

This study uses quantitative descriptive methods with descriptive statistical data analysis. The model used is the success model of the Delone & Mclean Information System (D&M), which has three main indicators:

System Quality

A good system has useful features, comprehensive, and easy-to-navigate menus. The system quality of Sinditaka is evaluated based on its ability to provide users with a seamless and efficient experience.

Information Quality

Accurate, complete, relevant, easy-to-understand, and safe information is a characteristic of quality information. The information quality of Sinditaka is evaluated based on its ability to provide users with accurate and relevant information.

Service Quality

Good service is marked by adequate support from service providers, such as updating information systems and rapid responses to technical problems. The service quality of Sinditaka is evaluated based on its ability to provide users with prompt and effective support.

Results

The results showed that the majority (50.01%-74.99%) of librarians assessed the quality of the system, information quality, and the quality of Sinditaka services as good. This indicates that Sinditaka has succeeded in providing digital services that satisfy users.

From the results of this study, it can be analyzed that Sinditaka has been successful in meeting the information needs of UMA library. This success can be associated with several factors:
