Introduction

Tourism Village Management: A Key to Sustainable Development

Tourism Village is one of the tourism potential that stores a variety of historical heritage and can be enjoyed by anyone. However, there are still shortcomings in terms of openness in the preparation of the program between related parties.

Obligations

The government has made a program to increase community participation and maintain the cleanliness and sustainability of attractions.
However, the procurement of adequate facilities and infrastructure and repair and maintenance of tourist destinations still needs to be improved.

Control

The control indicator shows that the government is still having difficulty in managing finances in an accountable manner.
In addition, visits from the government to Lingga Tourism Village are still minimal, which can result in lack of supervision of tourism activities.

Responsibility

In carrying out activities, the government is still referring to existing regulations.

Conclusion

Although there are efforts from the Department of Culture, Youth and Sports and Tourism to improve openness and participation, challenges in financial control, provision of infrastructure, and meeting the needs of the community must be immediately overcome. So that Lingga Tourism Village can develop as a superior tourist destination, a better collaboration is needed between the government and the community and other stakeholders. Thus, it is expected that the management of this tourist village not only provides added value for tourists, but also improves the welfare of the local community.
