This treatment was given for 6 days, and on the 7th day, the stomach of rats that had been dissected were examined to observe the ulcer formed.

Results and Discussion

The results analysis shows that the fukoid and dose of 100 mg/kgBB provides the best ulcer healing effect with a healing rate of 80.69%, better than comparative drugs. This study indicates that the dose of 100 mg/kgBB is an optimal dose that supports the healing of ulcers in this experimental model. The positive effect of fukoids can be caused by its ability to increase the defensive factor of the stomach and relieve aggression from the factors that cause ulcers.
