The specificity for the middle arm muscle area is 70% and 85% for the upper arm circumference. Thus, it can be concluded that the measurement of the middle arm muscle area is no more sensitive than the upper arm circumference in assessing the nutritional status of ALL patients in the induction phase of chemotherapy.
